Dear Sir or Madam,

I am Chinese nationality. I am flying with my 5 years daughter on 11 August and landing in Phu Quoc island directly on 12 Aug. at 1:00am. May I ask if I need to prepare a “Letter of Approval” to get an arrival visa? And do I need to prepare photo to get the arrival visa?

Appreciate you could response asap so we can prepare.

Thanks for your time.

Best regards
Jenny Ning

Dear Jenny Ning,

Thank you for contacting us.

We would like to inform that if you are flying directly to Phu Quoc and spending your vacation on the island only not to other cities in Vietnam, you can enjoy the Vietnam visa exemption right of 30 days single entry at Phu Quoc island without worrying about Vietnam visa.

In case you have transit flight to Phu Quoc Island from any other Vietnam airports or have plan to visit other cities in Vietnam, to avoid any hassles at the immigration counter, when you travel to other cities, please apply for a Letter of Approval in advance. You can apply here.

You do not need Letter of Approval for arrival visa since you are exempted.

Please note that you only need to bring with you your passport to be able to board the flight to Vietnam and get Immigration stamp at Phu Quoc airport without paying for any fee.

We hope this information is helpful for you. Should you need any further support, kindly let us know.

Best regards,
